We as a school have been signed up for the Virtual Boccia competition, we were chosen due to taking part and winning a competition in the last academic year. Due to Covid, this event like many others, has turned to a virtual event. This is actually a bonus in this case as it means that all children instead of a select few can take part in the competition. The competition is split into rounds.
This tournament is suitable for everyone and anyone who would like to take part!
Welcome to the 2020/2021 Virtually Boccia Challenge. Although a different format due to the coronavirus situation, we hope that you really enjoy being part of the programme this year. In preparation for our return to boccia, we have published guidance on playing boccia with others, within a group, education or club environment at https://www.bocciaengland.org.uk/Pages/Category/backtoboccia
We are currently taking part in round 1 of the tournament.
Round 1 consists of 4 activities which can be found in the resources below.
(I know we don't all have Boccia equipment sitting at home but this event has been adapted so that you can complete it at home with any equipment available, you can use any ball, rolled up socks, bean bag, cuddly toy of your choice )
If you wish to take part, all you need to do is send your name and scores to email@example.com. The deadline for sending in your results for round 1 is February 19th.
