This week we will continue to work through Mission Possible. The ideas of doing our English work over 2 or 3 weeks is for you to be comfortable with the passage and also to slowly build up to, in this case, writing a story. So far we have done work including activities on characters, vocabulary, story maps and understanding the story. This week, we will be moving more toward characters and setting for your spy story as well as the language you may use.
WA: revising the use of adjectives and inverted commas.
Continuing the story, today there are 2 activities.
in Resources, I have included the text again. Re-read or re-listen the text on the following link: https://soundcloud.com/talkforwriting/mission/s-qMLb31YjpM7 and then look at the 2 activities.
All of the activities you did last week and are doing this week will result in you writing a story. Try to think of all the activities and how they all link together.
The first activity relates to adjectives and the difference they make in sentences. In the file, try the activity of identifying adjectives before looking at the answer. What is an adjective? What does it do?
Activity 2 goes back over the work we have done on inverted commas and how they are used. Can you remember the rules relating to inverted commas?
