Practise:

Write out the following fraction sequences. You can use mixed numbers or improper fractions. For an extra challenge, do both.

• Start at 0, going up in 1/5 – write 10 numbers in the sequence.
• Start at 10/16, going up in 2/16 – write 10 numbers in the sequence.
• Start at ½, going up in 1/8 – write out the next 10 numbers in the sequence. (think about how many eighths is equal to ½ before you start this one)

Try:

There are 2 sets of challenges today do counting in fractions first (pick 1 challenge, you can just do one set A) then do fraction sequences (pick one challenge. Do set A first then set B if you have time).

Challenge 1 – Sheet with D in the star. Just do set A for counting fractions then move on to fraction sequences.

Challenge 2 – Sheet with E in the star. . Just do set A for counting fractions then move on to fraction sequences.

Challenge 3 – Sheet with GD in the star. . Just do set A for counting fractions then move on to fraction sequences.
