WALT: convert between 12 and 24 hour analogue and digital clocks.
Earlier this year, we worked on telling the time on an analogue clock.
We started by speaking about the 2 'hands' on a clock; the big hand which tells us the minutes and the small hand, which is the hour hand. Remember on an analogue clock, if the minute hand is between the 12 and 6, it is 'past' the hour and between 6 and 12 is 'to' the next hour.
Every number on the clock is 5 minutes - with 12 numbers, this makes 60 minutes (12 x 5) which is an hour.
Today's lesson is looking at analogue and digital clocks and comparing how they reflect time. To do this, you will watch 2 lessons from Oak Academy. You can find them on https://classroom.thenational.academy/units/time-aaeb and they are Lessons 1 and 2. Watch them both and complete the activities that are set.
