Science Week Competition - THIS WILL BE DISCUSSED IN OUR MONDAY ZOOM MEETING.
Next week, when we return to school, is Science Week. This year's theme is 'Innovating for the Future' and we are using this theme to work toward designing a 'Classroom of the Future.'
This activity will be split into 2 lessons, one today and the other next week when we are back in school. It is important you complete today's task as you will need to use it next week in our Science lesson.
Your task today will be to talk to your parents and/or grandparent to discuss what their classrooms were like when they were at school. In the file in Resources, there are some questions you can ask them and then an area for you to draw how you think their classroom looked. Think of our classroom and all of the equipment that is in there and compare it to their classroom. If you think of any other questions, feel free to ask them, just ensure you have a conversation with your parents/grandparents to get as much information as possible.
When we return to school, we will have a discussion about what you found out. We will also talk about what your classroom was like when you were remote learning and compare that with our classroom. Once we have completed this, you will design a classroom of the future; this will give you the chance to include lots of ideas you have for what classrooms might look like.
