WALA: Prejudice and Discrimination
Over the next 2 weeks we will be looking at prejudice and discrimination in PSHE lessons. It is really important to not be prejudiced or discriminative against anyone for their gender, religion, race or colour.
Today's lesson is about prejudice and the fact that we often make assumptions about people based on the way they look, their appearance or their personality. We will look at how that is often wrong because everybody can make their own decisions and have the chance to do what they choose.
Watch the following cartoon clip which gives an explanation of prejudice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qRmpURybJo.
In Resources, you will find 2 powerpoints. One has an explanation of prejudice as well as detailing the task you are to complete whilst the second has the sheets you need to complete the task. You don't have to print any of the slides off; if it's easier, just write your answers down.
