What you will need

Maths

To get your maths brains ready I would like you to practice counting forward and backwards to 10 (20 for a challenge). If you would like you could sing along to the following song-  http://www.viewpure.com/6RfIKqkvHTY?start=0&end=0   Today you are going to explore different ways to make 7. I would like you to watch session 2- 'Sorting 6, 7 & 8 Composition of 7'-    Your activity for today- Once you have watched the video I would like you to complete the activity on the right hand side of the video (I have also saved this as a PDF below).

Activity- You could draw a blank domino and either cut out the dots on the activity sheet or use objects from around the house.

English

As a fun starter I would like you to complete page 12 of your phonics workbook. Your adult will need to read the instructions to you and help you to find the matching capital letters. Please do not worry if they find this too tricky. I would just like you to talk about capital letters and explore the differences between the upper case and lower case letter shapes and sizes.    Now watch Miss Doherty's English video - https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/to-listen-to-and-join-in-with-a-story-6mt62r?activity=video&step=1 . I would like you to complete the activities that she asks you to do.

Paper and pencil.

Phonics workbook- you can still get these from the school office.

I would like you to choose your favourite story book that you have at home. Tell an adult what is happening in the pictures.

Topic -

I would like you to make a character from 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. You could use the following pictures for some inspiration or come up with your very own idea. I would like you to add some texture to your creation. You could use tissue paper, string for hair, ribbon etc. I can't wait to see what you make. Don't forget to upload a picture to the ClassDojo Portfolio.
