Welcome to Maylandsea Primary School

Located on the picturesque Dengie Peninsula, just a 30-minute drive from Chelmsford City Centre, Maylandsea Primary School is proud to serve our local community with a nurturing and inclusive approach to education. We currently educate 231 children aged between 4 and 11 years, fostering a vibrant, supportive atmosphere where every child is valued and encouraged to thrive.

Our Commitment to Every Child

At Maylandsea Primary School, we understand that every student is unique. We provide tailored support for disadvantaged pupils and those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including children with Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans. Our dedicated team works closely with families to ensure that every child has the resources and encouragement they need to reach their full potential.

A Focus on Well-Being and Personal Development

We believe that a child’s well-being is fundamental to their success, both academically and personally. Our nurturing environment promotes confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning. Beyond the classroom, we offer a rich variety of extracurricular activities — from sports and music to clubs and community projects — designed to inspire creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Academic Excellence

Our academic results at Key Stage 2 are consistently in line with national averages, demonstrating our commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. We strive not only to meet educational standards but to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that prepares our students for the next stages of their education and beyond.
