If you are interested in applying for a place at our school, please call the school office to arrange to come and look around.
All admission applications are processed by Essex County Council Planning and Admissions Department. An application form is available from the county Admissions Office via www.essex.gov.uk/admissions.
In the Autumn term, we arrange talks and guided tours for parents of children due to start school the following year. Please contact the school office on 01621 742251 to book a place.
For all other admissions, please contact the school to arrange a visit and to discuss the availability of places.
Places are allocated using the following criteria in the order given:
1. Looked After Children
2. Children with a sibling already attending the school (except where the sibling is in the final year of primary education)
3. Remaining applications
In the event of over subscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest priority. Exceptional medical circumstances (supported by medical evidence) may override the above criteria (other than Looked After Children).
Children start at Maylandsea Primary School in the September after their fourth birthday and, after a brief induction period, they will usually be full-time. If you think your child may not be ready for school, please contact us for a discussion.
